“Carriage Drive” Late May. Sharpham.
£360.00
This place is so very special whatever the weather. On the this late Spring day the rain really did come down in stair rods! The blue green Spring colours and the heavy skies made the warm pinks sing out.
This is a view on the Sharpham Estate, looking down the river Dart toward the town of Dartmouth. The town has a remarkable history dating back to the 1086 and the Domesday Book. I especially like the references to Chaucer 1373 Canterbury Tales;
”A schipman was ther, wonyng fer by weste;
For ought I wost, he was of Dertemouthe.”
