Autumn at the weir is a mixed media work of charcoal, conte and gesso with layered paper. This piece is filled with energetic marks and textures on the surface add great interest to the work. Looking across the river Dart one hears the Archimedes screw turning as the water rushes past or see the seal feeding on the fish. A familiar place for many locals and visitors to the town. The Archimedes screw that is used to generate energy as part of the TRESOC  a local renewable energy society in Totnes.
