This is a view in June, looking down to river Dart, across Sharpham Marsh towards the town of Totnes. The horizon of Dartmoor National park makes a lovely backdrop. The landscape’s rhythm gradually changes as we move from one season to another. Summer along the river, walking through the meadows, where clouds of butterflies dance in the air. Perhaps strolling through the woods seeking shade the sounds of creatures in the branches, birdsong.

In my work I seek to convey a sense of season and place, through the use of different materials. Many of the small sketches I have are made with found pigments and improvised tools.
