Looking back towards Totnes from Sharpham marsh at the beginning of June. After a beautiful and colourful Spring, the arrival of Summer looked promising. Then a stutter and a spit, from the Atlantic the unsettled weather arrived with dark clouds pushing across the south westerly skies.
As ever this drawing was initiated with found pigments and tools, site specific materials form a unique bond with the work and the landscape. Looking across the reed beds it is also at as if imagined figures are dancing with the swaying reeds.
