Winter days and winter walks, the reed bed at Sharpham Marsh on the the river Dart is part of the Sharpham Estate. The view back up river to Totnes is lovely on a winter evening as sun goes down. I work using found pigments on site and mixed media. Rapidly changing light and strong winds. A large part of my work is documenting the seasons, using the landscape and the skies to guide my emotional response to my surroundings.
To the left of this drawing there is tree that despite the elements and age remains standing richly decorated with lichen.
