“Mother’s Day”.
A still life of March flowers on Mother’s Day. The idea of drawing regular still life compositions is for me anyway, not only a means one is practising drawing but also working on form and composition. These skills are just as important, almost key, for drawing landscapes when out walking.
A simple earthenware jug, perhaps one of my favourites filled with daffodils set against a blue cloth. The pastel paper shines through adding even more texture, pale yellows, yellow greens float over the darker tones and a shadow cast across the horizontal.
All my original work is signed on the reverse and then professionally mounted backed and wrapped before shipping. The artwork is offered for sale at a price that includes professional packaging, insurance and shipping.
