Planes and Windows
Two large windows on the side of a former industrial building that is now converted into flats. These huge windows caught my eye as they reflected the neighbouring buildings. I especially enjoy the shapes and colours here and the way the surface is divided in to blocks.
In some ways drawing this little piece reminded me of project in which I drew large Moorish arches in an art gallery on walls covered with newspaper. I begun the Moorish arches with a small collage (pictured below) maybe it is the proportions of just my perception of them? I enjoyed dividing the surface of the paper regions or plane and then sub planes within the reflections, without worrying about being to literal.
