I am working on some paintings that are depicting the sense or feeling of each season. These paintings are created by a year of sketching and drawing the landscape close to where I live. I feel that it is so important to be in touch with the seasons, the cycle of the year, increasingly it seems we are becoming detached from what nature has created, maybe to our peril?
There will be 16 small (16cm x 15cm) paintings, four from each season made in Polaroid format to give a vintage immediacy to the image, distorting the view of the landscape away from the panoramic.
