Juxtaposed at Templemeads
This drawing is from a sketch I made whilst in Bristol Templemeads. The steps the sculpture and architecture intrigued me. I shall be using these drawing to make larger paintings of the city using bold colours and generous shapes one against another.
Walking away from Templemeads station concourse towards the canal there is a plaza with various eateries and entertainment. But I was taken by the juxtaposition of the sculpture, the steps with their glass steel handrail backed by the old industrial brick building with its multitude of windows. The additional images describe my process and observation.
